Spearmint, or Mentha Spicata, is a variety of mint native to Europe, that is now cultivated around the world. It is a herbaceous perennial plant that grows low to the ground with large leaves. It has an aroma typical of the mint family, but with a more subtle, slightly sweet, less spicy flavour than peppermint.

How to Use
Organic Spearmint leaves are most commonly used as a tea. Infuse 1-2 teaspoons in hot water and sweetened with honey or sugar to suit your palate. Spearmint adds a lovely flavour to sauces or marinades, great for chicken, fish or vegetables. Add a strong infusion of this herb to desserts and baked goods, particularly delicious with chocolate, for a minty twist.

Storage and Shelf Life
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
